URL plays an important role in SEO. A well-written user-friendly URL is always better than a URL with special characters.
By default, the xenforo forum URL will have an index.php suffix at the end. Example: https://example.com/index.php? looks unprofessional right?
How about https://example.com?
This looks simple and clear.
So today we are going to remove the “index.php” from your xenforo forum URL.
For this head over to your Xenforo Admin Control Panel. Under Setup click Options.

Now click Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Check the first checkbox that reads “Use full friendly URLs“.

Click Save. Done.
Now check your forum homepage and other pages. They won’t have any index.php in the URLs.
